When things go 'wrong'

My computer's modem recenly broke down which meant i didn't have internet at home untill i got it fixed which took two weeks. I work at home so this was quite a big deal. But not only that the internet is basically my life. At the moment I am not in the position to socialize and my life is pretty much on the internet. This forced me to go work in town at the internet shop. It was always something i thought of doing because it worked out cheaper then internet at home. But not only that it also made me get out of the house and be between people. But my first reaction was that this is really bad because the internet shop is closed at night and that is when I did most of my work. As the days went by without internet at home I became more and more agitated and negative. I was wondering why this was happening to me as the internet was basically my life. Well I finally got my internet back yesterday and everything is back to normal again. What I have found is that it's easy to lose perspective when something like this happens. Most people including myself tend to think very shallowly. In society we don't get tought much about deeper meaning behind obvious appearences. In my mind it's obvious this happened so that I can get out of the house instead of hardly ever leaving it and it is also saving me money. So while it caused me some pain in the short run it will benefit me in the long run. The trick is to find the meaning of something that appears to be 'wrong' while it happens not afterwards. If you find it afterwards you may have lost a lot of energy on negativity. Everything happens for a reason. The universe is always there to assist us in our evolution and if we are alert to it life becomes effortless and harmonius, allowing us to fulfill our deepest desires. |
